Our Mission

The mission of the Great Smoky Mountain Food Days is to educate and celebrate the culture and food traditions of the Great Smoky Mountain region.  The event looks at preserving our past and envisioning our future.  The two-day event will offer sessions and demonstrations on preservation, fermentation, wild edibles and Smoky Mountain history.  A Tennessee Beans and Cornbread Supper and Farmers Market Luncheon will also be included.
